This is a masculine air sign, whose symbol is the water carrier. This adds intellectualism and inventiveness to our personality.
We have a stubborn and decisive character and feel comfortable in the realm of ideas, but may fine personal relationships or family life a bit too difficult to deal with. Aquarians are different from just about everyone else including other Aquarians and this makes us hard to categorise. We are extremely independent and our mode of thinking is totally individual: we prefer to be more of a lone wolf rather than a sheep following others. We also allow others to have their space and to do their own thing, as long as it doesn't impose on our own sense of freedom. We enjoy living in a relationship and we may even choose a conventional type of marriage but, if it doesn't work out, we have the ability to put the past behind us and move onto other things. We can live alone for long periods of time but we don't enjoy it much, we are happier as part of a team. We can be strangely blind in personal relationships. Sometimes this means we simply do not notice when a family member is unhappy. Another problem is that this blindness can lead us into a situation were we find ourselves living with someone who has a really impossible nature, because some how we missed the danger signs before becoming totally committed. By far the most comfortable relationship for us is that of friendship. We have an open, humorous, non-hostile outer manner which draws people to us, and we really enjoy the company of friends. We are the first to help someone out when they are in trouble. We value education highly and see it as the road to success, wealth and indepencence. We never actually stop learning throughout life, so we would understand if our partner wanted to stop work to study for a while.
Aquairians can be found in any number of careers but anything that allows us to communicate with others is bound to appeal to us. We are drawn to work in the public sector and in technical jobs of one kind or another, with computers being a really hot favourite. We may choose to teach or write for a living. We have the most original mind of the zodiac and we may spend our lives solving problems or inventing new and original methods. One thing for sure is that we don't spend too much time in front of the TV.
We have a broad mind and an easy-going attitude to other people's eccentricities, but we hate having our own eccentricities challenged.
