CYCLES

Waltzing through childhood as a girl
Star gazed, moon struck
Searching for truth in high places,
Nothing fit so nothing filled

Rocking through youth, new to life's schemes
Star gazed, moon struck
Pondering now, merit of here
Promises fading, love unskilled

Dancing to steps of motherhood
Star gazed, moon struck
Changing the beat, nothing by chance
Something fit so something filled

Feeling vibrations in the move
Star gazed, moon struck
Keeping in step with dance of life
Memorized patterns, cycle stilled
