The Facts

                                                                                                                                    *  The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification must be renewed every  2 years

*  PTCB will send you recertification materials approximately 60 days before your certification expires

* 20 hours of pharmacy-related continuing education is required each 2 years of your recertification cycle.  At least 1 of the 20 hours must be in Pharmacy Law.

*  If your recertification expires, you may be eligible for reinstatement under guidelines found at the www.ptcb.org website.  Tech Lectures can assist you in offering CE for reinstatement purposes.

*  Tech Lectures is designed to offer nationally certified Pharmacy Technicians with continuing education (CE) which meets PTCB requirements.

*  You select which lectures you want that add up to 20 or 21 hours and they are mailed to you in a spiral bound manual for your use and review along with answer sheets.

*  Tech Lectures offers you a Certificate of Completion for each Lecture completed

*  We keep records of all CE completed through Tech Lectures

What is a Continuing Education Audit?

A certain number of CPhT's will be chosen to be audited by the PTCB to prove the validity of CE submitted.  An audit is a detailed review by PTCB of your CE submitted.

Is Tech Lectures accepted by PTCB as a source of CE

Yes.  Tech Lectures has been offering CE specifically for the Pharmacy Technician for over ten years and is meets not only PTCB requirements but ICPT guidelines as well which offers the ExCPT National Exam.   Tech Lectures is also endorsed by the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians (AAPT) as well as the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (CAPT).

Does your CE have an expiration date to complete them?

No.  Unlike other CE offerings, Tech Lectures does not have an expiration date for its CE which allows the Pharmacy Technician to complete them at their convenience and use or submit during the recertification cycle they want to receive credit for.  

Why Tech Lectures CE and not someone else's CE?

Tech Lectures is derived from information that has been used in Pharmacy Technician Programs which has been accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or ASHP.  It is specific to the Pharmacy Technician in content and offers Technicians CE that will help the individual Pharmacy Technician in both personal and professional growth.  Unlike other CE offerings, Tech Lectures offers substance and value.

Too many Pharmacy Technicians do CE for the purpose of getting those recertification hours only and learn nothing from the CE taken.  Tech Lectures offers CE where much can be learned which is what CE is suppose to be all about.
