Seven weeks and Trinity term is here.  It seems so strange to be in Oxford and not be overworked, ill, or rowing...

Unless spastic bouts of bread-baking count as such, my Easter holidays were far less productive than might have been hoped.  I managed to spend a week in Florida with my Harvard roommates without getting drunk, lost, sleep-deprived, bitten, or sunburned.   Even more impressively, I managed not to pick Geoff up -- right time, right airline, right terminal...wrong airport.   My only accomplishment in a month and a half has been to finally start flossing my teeth regularly.

Nevertheless I'm quite looking forward to this term, possibly because I have no ability whatsoever to learn from past experience, but more probably because after tomorrow I'll never have to calculate the resolving power of a fabry perot interferometer ever again in my life.   It's the little things in life...
