Here is a sample of some of the creative efforts of Mr. Mitchell's 10th grade English students at Ribault High School in Jacksonville, Florida. We hope to add to this exhibit of student

I KNOW YOU LOVE ME WHEN...
I know you love me when
You say,"I missed you."
I know you love me when
You say, "I really care about you."
I know you love me when
You never say, "I hate you."
I know you love me when
You say,"I'll never leave you."
I know you love me when
We're together, you're quiet.
I know you love me when
You make my heart take wingless flight.
I know you love me when
You will never change how you feel.
I know you love me when
You and I will stay the same.
I know you love me when
You say, "I love you."

A New Day
Every morning that I'm blessed with opening eyes;
Another awakening to a beautiful sunrise.
The beginning of a new day, thoughts are coming clear;
Closing my eyes and visualizing your presence being here.
Thanking the Lord like I do,
Anointed prayers to make them true.
I pray about who would take my heart
The beginning of a wonderful Godgiving start.
The overwhelming warmth of seeing that face;
The commit of nature takes its place.
The gift of unlimited treasure:
The source of purest pleasure.
The miracle of compassionate faith,
Being in your arms, fulfilling your embrace.
The miraculous feeling of our immortal bond,
The uncertainty promise until another dawn.

SMILE
Smile like there's no tomorrow.
Smile even though you feel sorrow.
Your soul may cry out,
but smile and put it all behind you.
Think sweet, reminisced thoughts.
Dwell on the good and
put the bad behind.
Remorse no more.
Smile and let the sun shine through.
Let the stars twinkle in your
beautiful eyes.
Smile and make my day.
When you smile the birds
will sing beautiful songs.
Beauty from within comes out
when you smile.
Your smile makes a saddened child
want to play.
So smile, and let your beauty
shine upon the earth.

HOW DO YOU SPELL LOVE?
Love can be spelled in many ways.
Some people spell Love with material things.
I, myself, spell it in a different way.
I spell Love J-E-S-U-S.
See, the dictionary says Love is a feeling,
I say Love is a gift to us all from The Man above;
Jesus is the one who taught us to love.
So I ask you again, "How do you spell Love?"
Do you spell it with gifts, or from The One above?
