In these dark days there are many who say or believe they follow Jesus Christ, but who are following a false Jesus Christ. I come across so many false teachings and cults that confuse people with the argument "But we are Christians, we follow Jesus Christ, just like all Christians do". They may follow what they call Jesus, but it isn't the same Jesus of the Bible.

I once had a discussion with 2 Mormon missionaries who made the claim they are Christians, because even their church has the name of Jesus in it "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". The argument went back and fourth and around and around getting nowhere because as a Christian I cannot accept their other scriptures (Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, & current teachings of the their prophets), and they won't fully accept the Bible. Eventually putting the scriptures aside, they said they were Christians because they believed in Jesus. I said if I accept them as Christians, will they accept me as a Christian because I believe in Jesus?. Yes they agreed, then I pointed at a tree and said "come, let us pray to Jesus". They said the tree wasn't Jesus, I said you just accepted me as a Christian because I believe in Jesus, well that tree is my Jesus (bear with me here! this just an example of the fallacy of their argument, I don't believe Jesus is a tree!). They eventually began to understand what I was getting at. When we say we follow Jesus, we need to make sure the Jesus we are following is the right one. Just saying we follow Jesus and not follow the Jesus of the Bible, leads to following men and demons. This of course leads to a lost eternity.

As a guidepost, I decided to make an encyclopedic list of all the false Jesus' out there, and hopefully open the eyes of those following an angel of light into the darkness. All research here is my own from the various groups books / booklets, tapes, videos and interviewing ex-members. I pray this will open your eyes that You may come to know the true living Jesus Christ of the Bible.

Ananda Marga Yoga: Indian yoga / meditation cult which holds to fascist ideals and human sacrifice in India, who hide these beliefs to western culture believe their founder Guru Maha is Jesus / God.

Anchor of Golden Light: Jesus is an ascended master now in charge of ufo visitations to earth.

Ancient Mystic Order of Melchizedek (aka: AMOM, Nuwaubians, the Nubian Nation of Moors, Right Knowledge, Nubian Islamic Hebrew Mission, the Ansaaru Allah Community and the Original Tents of Kedar): Group leader Dwight York claims to be from the 19th galaxy, called Illyuwn and also sometimes claims to be Jesus reincarnated. (This group is well known to the FBI and CIA and is a major crime syndicate traffiking in drugs, murder, extortion, arms, fraud including e-mail money fraud schemes)Currently the group is in court fighting for it's religious rights to practice and have tax free status while it's leader is also facing charges of murder (12/Oct/2003).

Apostolic Churches: Some Apostolic churches believe in a modalistic idea of God. That is, that God operates or operated in 3 "modes" instead of the traditional Christian Trinity of God in 3 persons. So God was operating in the mode of Jesus when He was on earth. These churches usually have problems explaining Jesus' baptism where the Father's voice was heard and the Holy Spirit descended at the same time. Some Apostolic churches don't believe Jesus death on the cross was enough for salvation, and insist on their baptismal formulae as necessary for salvation also (eg: in Jesus name only).

He was born on Earth through God manifesting a body and having sex with Mary. Jesus was married to three women at the same time, and had children. He saved himself by obeying the principals of Mormonism and is an example for all good Mormons to follow. He received godhood after he rose from the dead. He killed many people with death and destruction (3 Nephi 4:26-45). He is now one of many gods over his own planet with his wives making spirit babies and populating that planet.
