The Workplace

The Workplace designed to assist patrons in career evaluation and selection, job search, resume and cover letter (and other types of business correspondence) writing is located on the Library's second floor, near the Reference Desk.

There is also excellent information on setting up a business or getting started in the import/export trade. There are business directories, small business and career sourcebooks, and telephone directories from across the United States.

The Workplace has a computerized database of current openings with the Federal Government plus a number of print and microfiche periodicals containing job announcements.

The circulating section of the library supports the Workplace by providing additional books on resume and business writing. There are guides and practice examinations for school placement and acceptance tests as well as Civil Service Practice Exams.

Whether trying to decide on the best career for you, the school providing the best training, or finding employment in your chosen field, The Workplace can be very useful to you.
