Most of the skater pictures and the one of Eric Karros I drew to send to them. If you are ever looking for a way to get an autograph from a celebrity, that's the way to do it if you don't have any "connections." I got about half and half response from all of those. I received a personal autograph from Michelle Kwan and Dan Hollander which was really kewl!

This was the 2nd oil piece I ever did, I was just playing around with the media "Saint Saen's Vison" I did this in the Spring of 1996 "The Intellectual Skater" I did this in the Spring of 1996 * in both the Oksana and Paul paintings there are pieces of paper cliped to the bottom, those are photos of the sketches before over them with oil.

I used to avoid pastels at all costs because I was convinced that I would fail before I started. Then I was babysitting and drawing with the kids and I tried oil pastels for the first time in more than 6 years. This might just be a phase but I am trying to get the essance of color rather than the realistic color.

This media is a piece of white paper that has been painted over with black paint. You use a needle-like tool to scratch away the light. That way, you are working in reverse, drawing the light rather than the shadow
