The tarot (for me) are not tools for telling the future.
The cards don't have special powers.
The reader doesn't have special powers.
They only provide insight to what is already there.
It allows another point of view to what is not so visible to the person.
You get an outside, objective view of your situation and the options to either change, strengthen or just allow to continue the path that you are traveling.
It is not worshipping the devil, speaking to spirits or leaving this world.
It is learning the symbolism of the cards and how they fall in place during the reading.Interpretation is a skill developed through practice and believing.
We all are capable of reading the cards, however not all are as capable as others.
I mostly use the Rider-Waite deck for my readings. It is the most commonly used deck and probably the most well known because of the classical tarot drawings. It is probably the easiest , since most people prefer them as starter decks.I have also been using the Connolly deck lately,a deck with strong christian symbolism. When I give readings I use the Celtic Cross spread ,also one of the oldest and most popular styles.
I feel the purpose of reading is to aid.
The cards don't find anything new, just shed light on what is already there.
Hopefully, the person for who the cards are being read will benefit from the information provided.Even if it is just to know that some one cares and has bothered to pay attention to your problems.
Well someone does care.
