That God is out there
and gives you this care?
That God made the earth
And to flowers their birth?
That God founded the ways
Which guide nature's days?
It all happened just so,
It just set up and go?
The plants they just grew
In the way that they do?
Things invented their laws
Without any cause?
It may be that it's this
It may be that it's that
The way that creation
Was firstly begun
But make no mistake,
Either this way or that,
That this is the way that
It always will be -
It's what you believe, but it's
Not what you know.
If there isn't a god
It won't matter at all
What you believe
For there's no-one to call
But if there is,
Then what will you say
When he asks you why
Lead so many astray,
Disregard all his love,
And his care for each one
On the day when you meet,
When the journey is done?
