By the way I'm the one on the right.  The lovely lady to the left is my lady of about eight years, Cora.  We are both members of a medieval recreation group called the Society for Creative Anachronism.-   Some of my other hobbies are home brewing, and old Mopar cars.   I am a member of the Allegany Libation Education Recreation Society (ALERS).

In the SCA I play the part of a 13th century Orkney Scot.  You could say my persona is somewhat wool intensive.  The Orkneys are a string of islands north of Scotland, which for various periods in their history were possessions of the Viking lands, which could have something to do with the hair.....  If you want to see my armor check this page.

The Alers is a small group of homebrewers who meet in Cattaraugus county, NY once a month to drink beer and talk about beer, not a bad deal if you ask me.  We also have several parties a year.

As for my cars I own several.  My newest car is a 73 Plymouth Duster I am customizing myself.  Then there is the 79 Dodge Van, my beater.  And my oldest car is a 54 Dodge Meadowbrook.  It runs but will need alot of work for a full restoration.  The Duster is my first custom, it was originally a slant six car and I drove it for 4 years on that motor.  When the transmission went I upgraded the whole drive train to a 318 v8, and gave it the nose of a 72 Duster, I like that flat nose look better.  I plan on keeping the 54 as original as I can with just an interior upgrade to leather.
