Poets Rest
The material that follows is not all cute and joyous. Much of it traces a journey from
despair and cynicism to joy. Some may feel disturbed, but it is not my intention to offend.
Rather, I hope that some who visit may identify with the path I have travelled, take heart in knowing that God is in the business of changing lives, and be persuaded just a little toward seeking the things I have sought and discovered so painfully slowly over my journey of 25 yrs.
I am as the title of a book by CS Lewis - SURPRISED BY JOY

These works of the 1970s' chronicle some of my longings of my younger days.  Life was pretty average I guess. Boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy smothers girl, girl leaves boy running at furious pace to avoid smothering.
Boy turns to jelly, writes sad poem and sky falls on boy's head. Much changed in 1977 and 1978, and as a result the poetry changed. Unfortunately much of it is lost, but I have initially included a recent one -"Final Regrets", my only remaining sadness
for the times long gone. l will be adding to and deleting from this page regularly, - for anyone who finds this stuff of interest.
