Why this site?

Is there a Lubbock group?

Are you interested in joining one?

Hello, my name is Matt. As a young uneducated adult, I made the mistake of becoming a very devout Christian. Despite the direction, through prayer and learning (and with the help of the Almighty, blessed be His Name) I did tshuvah (repentance, or "turning around"). As a result, I have learned a landslide of things about my former religion which has led me to abandon the faith I was once enslaved to and begin a life toward life, the faith of Orthodox Judaism. What I have shown on this website about the theology of Christianity is only a tip of the iceburg. I would be happy to share any of the things I have learned with you.

Belonging to a religious group is healthy, unless it teaches us to oppress others. It is my intent not to oppress those in Christianiy, but to help them find truth. I will admit that because I am human, I may fail in my endeavor in this, buy I sincerely hope to suceed in not oppressing Christians or any of other faiths. Organized religion can help a person strengthen his or her faith in G-d and immunize against prosylization. People can have assurance of a personal relationship with G-d and have means for learning and education, giving and sharing. Religion can also provide fellowship and therefore a bridge with community. But religion can also be destructive.

If your heart sees a desire to form a Noahide group in Lubbock, or in any town, you are encouraged to contact me. Currently there is a group in Houston and Ft. Worth. The Ft. Worth branch is headed by Vendyl Jones, the archaeologist whom the movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was inspired. (Indiana Jones) There is a group of Noahites in Lubbock at this time. For information, email me.

I should let you know that Noahides do not traditionally accept or believe in the New Testament, Jesus or his disciples. This website was not intended to reflect this. It is designed to show that even according to the New Testament, the Early Church taught this aspect of Orthodox Judaism, that is, the Noahide system. It is also intended to show that Jesus, before the Church took hold, presented this as his Gospel, and that it was not the one the Church turned it into this day.

Knowing this, I hope that you would still be interested in pursuing information about the real Bible called the "Tanach." It is wrongly called the "Old Testament" by Christians. The Book teaches us about all G-d's creation as well as what He desires of mankind today. In the Tanach is the Torah. It is eternal and is for everyone. Discover it. You'ld be surprised how wonderful it is.

Please consider the Noahide option.

Shalom,

Matityahu Micha'el ben Avraham
