Man's days upon the earth are few, three score and ten, but, what if the lord does tarry to four score, or eighty years. What are those few days compared to eternity. Our life span compared to eternity is as a vapour. James 4: go to now, ye that say, to day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow, for what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, if the lord will, we shall live, and do this or that. But now ye rejoice in your boasting: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Saints of God, whatsoever the lord doeth it shall be for ever, nothing can be added to it nor nothing taken from it. You have been created, and you shall spend eternity somewhere. Ecclesiastes 3: i know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it : and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. Listen carefully beloved of God, there is no hiding from God. A man that has lived a wicked life may leave instructions to have his remains, his corpse, cremated; to have his body turned to ashes, and scattered over some deserted place. But in the resurrection the ground will began to shake, and those ashes will come together, and that man will stand before God, and give an account of what he has done while in this tabernacle of flesh. Ezekiel 37:l the hand of the lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones. 2. And caused me to pass by them round about : and, behold, there were very many in the open valley: and, lo, they were very dry. 3. And he said unto me, son of man, can these bones live? And i answered, o lord God, thou knowest. 4. Again he said unto me, prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, o ye dry bones, hear the word of the lord. 5. Thus saith the lord God unto these bones: behold, i will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6. And i will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live: and ye shall know that i am the lord. 7. So i prophesied as i was commanded: there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8. And when i beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. 9. Then said he unto me, prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, thus saith the lord God: come from the four winds, o breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So i prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. Ll. Then he said unto me, son of man, these bones are the whole house of israel: behold, they say, our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Beloved of God, there is no place a man can hide from the lord, if he ascend up into heaven, God is there, if he descend into hell, God is there. Psalms 9:7 whither shall i go from thy spirit? Or whither shall i flee from thy presence? 8. If i ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if i make my bed in hell behold, thou art there. 9. If i take the wing of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea. Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. Children of God, speak as if you are reading the holy scriptures, for God is recording your words. For it is by your words you shall be saved, or by your words you shall be condemned. Jesus Christ has said these words st. Matthew :35 a good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure of bringeth forth evil things. 36. But i say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned. Brothers and sisters in Christ, you may know that i preach against football, for it is a highly competitive game, competition is against the laws of God, we call it emulation, and emulation is listed among such sins, as adultery, witchcraft, murder, and it will keep a person from inheriting the kingdom of God. But i notice that the most successful football teams are those that receive the least penalties. Have you ever seen a football player with great effort run across the goal line only to have the touchdown not count, because there had been some infraction of the rules. If you plan on making heaven your home, child of God, you must be obedient to the laws of God. And to be obedient you must study the laws of God, the bible. Ll timothy 2:5 and if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned except he strive lawfully. Ll timothy 2: study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Men and women study for years to become doctors, and lawyers,and engineers, and it is good, but, all this studying is for this short life. But when a man begins to study the laws of God, he is beginning to set his house in order, preparing for the day that he stands before God. When you begin to study the laws of God, keep a dictionary close at hand, and if there is a word that you are not acquainted with look it up, for one word can change the whole meaning of the law that God has set forth for man to live by. Study the new testament for it is by the new testament that men shall inherit. If you are want to know how you are to act toward God remember this law. St. Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy --- mind. And, if you are in doubt as to how to treat men, women, and children, remember this law. St. Matthew 7: therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Children of light, fill your lives with good deeds, give drink to the thirsty, food to the hungry, clothing to the naked, for judgment day is coming. Many are called to work in the harvest, but few are chosen to spent eternity with Christ. St. Matthew 25:3l when the son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. 32. And before him shall be gathered all the nations : and he shall separate them one from the other, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. 33. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34. Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come, ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35. For i was hungred, and ye gave me meat: i was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: i was a stranger, and ye took me in. 36. Naked, and ye clothed me: i was sick, and ye visited me. 37. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, lord, when saw we thee, an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee? 39. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40. And the king shall answer and say unto them, verily i say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 4l. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42. For i was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: i was thirty, and ye gave me no drink: 43. I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked ; and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Beloved of God, what am i trying to tell you? You have an appointment to stand before the lord Jesus Christ, you will stand before the one that has the power to create the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and place them in space, in one day. It is he that will decide where we spend eternity. Multitudes believe in limbo, they believe that unbaptized babies go there. Multitudes believe in purgatory, they believe that men, women, and children with venial sins, sins that are not mortal sins, and sins that are mortal, but have been remitted: go there. But as for me, i believe that there are three places that men shall dwell in eternity, the first is heaven. So many that a man could not number them all shall dwell in heaven. Revelations 7:9 after this i beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. And cried with a loud voice saying, salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the lamb. And saints of God multitudes of peoples shall dwell upon the earth. And they shall be required to come and worship before God. And they shall go forth, and look at the people in hell. Isaiah 66:20 ( in these verses of scripture God is speaking to isaiah and he says) and they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beast, to my holy mountain jerusalem, saith the lord, as the children of israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the lord. 2l. And i will also take of them for priest and for levites, saith the lord. 22. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which i will make, shall remain before me, saith the lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the lord. 24. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched: and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. Brothers and sisters in Christ, if there be families upon the earth that refuse to come up to jerusalem to worship before the king, the lord of host, then they shall not receive any rain. Zechariah : and it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto jerusalem to worship the king, the lord of host, even upon them shall be no rain. Beloved of God, if you are not acquainted with the sins that will send a person when judged, into the flames of hell. Here they are. Revelations 2l:8 but the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and the murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimestone: which is the second death. Let me conclude by saying, saints of God, do not see how close that you can walk to the edge of the lake of fire, but see how far you can stay away from the edge, for if you enter in, there you shall spent eternity.
