WHAT IS PRAYER? PRAYER IS A REQUEST TO GOD, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, BY THE SPIRITS HELP. WE, AS CHILDREN OF GOD, ARE BLESSED TO BE BORN ON THIS SIDE OF THE CROSS. FOR, IF WE HAD BEEN BORN, AND DIED, BEFORE THE COMING OF CHRIST JESUS. WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PETITION GOD IN PRAYER. FOR, GOD HAD ENMITY FOR ALL MANKIND, BECAUSE OF THE ORIGINAL SIN OF ADAM. AND, OUR SIN ALSO. FOR, WE WERE ALL IN ADAM AT THE TIME HE TRANSGRESSED THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD. AND, SIN WAS IMPUTED UNTO US ALL. BECAUSE OF SIN, THERE WAS A VEIL THAT SEPERATED GOD FROM MAN. BUT, WHEN CHRIST JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED, WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS; THE VEIL OF THE TEMPLE WAS RENT.

Mk:15:38: And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

THE RENTING OF THE VEIL HAS GIVEN US LIBERTY TO APPROACH UNTO GOD. ONCE, WE HAD ACCESS TO GOD THE FATHER, IT BECAME NECESSARY TO LEARN HOW TO PETITION GOD. JESUS TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES TO PRAY SAYING THESE WORDS.

Mt:6:7: But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Mt:6:8: Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Mt:6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Mt:6:10: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Mt:6:11: Give us this day our daily bread.

Mt:6:12: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Mt:6:13: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

CHILDREN OF LIGHT, WHEN WE PRAY WE ARE NOT TO REPEAT THE SAME PRAY OVER, AND OVER. AS SOME MEN TEACH, AND SOME MEN USE AS A FORM OF PUNISHMENT, OR PENTENCE. WE ARE NOT TO USE VAIN REPETITIONS.

WE, AS CHILDREN OF GOD, ARE TO COME BOLDLY BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD, AND SPEAK DIRECTLY TO OUR FATHER. WE ARE NOT TO PRAY TO SAINTS, OR ANGELS. LISTEN AS JESUS CHRIST THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS TEACHES US TO PRAY.

Mt:6:9: After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

WE, AS CHILDREN OF GOD, ARE TO WORSHIP THE LORD OUR GOD, AND HIM ONLY. WE ARE NOT TO BOW DOWN TO, NOR WORSHIP ANY OTHER.

Mt:4:8: Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Mt:4:9: And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Mt:4:10: Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

BEFORE YOU PRAY, FORGIVE EVERY ONE OF THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS, THAT HAVE TRANSGRESSED AGAIN YOU. AND, YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER WILL FORGIVE YOU OF YOUR TRANSGRESSIONS AGAINST HIM.

Mt:6:14: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Mt:6:15: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses

SAINTS OF GOD, WHEN YOU PARTITION THE FATHER, AFTER THAT YOU HAVE MADE YOUR REQUEST, ASK IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. THAT YOU MAY COME INTO THIS PROMISE THAT JESUS MADE TO ALL OF GOD'S CHILDREN.

Jn:14:13: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Jn:14:14: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

HOLY CHILDREN, THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PRAYERS, THERE ARE PUBLIC PRAYERS. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN SOLOMON DEDICATED THE TEMPLE THAT HE BUILT. THERE ARE TIMES OF SECRET PRAYER,

Mt:6:6: But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. (KJV)

BELOVED, THERE IS THE SHORT, AND TO THE POINT PRAYER, AS THE THIEF THAT JESUS TOOK TO PARADISE PRAYED. WHEN HE PRAYED, "LORD REMEMBER ME WHEN YOU COME INTO YOUR KINGDOM."

Lk:23:40: But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

Lk:23:41: And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Lk:23:42: And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

Lk:23:43: And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

BRETHREN, THERE IS THE FAMILY PRAYER ; WERE CHRISTIAN PARENTS TEACH THEIR CHILDREN TO PRAY. AND THERE IS THE GROUP PRAYER. WERE WE AS SAINTS OF GOD COME TOGETHER AND AGREE AS TO TOUCHING SOMETHING THAT WE NEED.

Mt:18:18: Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Mt:18:19: Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Mt:18:20: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

BROTHERS, AND SISTERS IN CHRIST, PRAYER IS A TREMENDOUS WEAPON IN OUR FIGHT AGAINST SATAN, AND HIS CHILDREN. WHEN WE AS CHILDREN OF GOD, ARE GOING THROUGH OUR TRIALS, AND TRIBULATIONS. IT IS JUST WONDERFUL TO BE ABLE TO KNEE DOWN, AND LIFT HOLY HANDS AND PLACE A PARTITION BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD. ESPECIALLY, IF ONE OF OUR FAMILY OF FAITH IS SICK. REMEMBER THIS SAINTS OF GOD, DOCTORS CAN PRESCRIBE MEDICINE, SURGEONS CAN CUT, AND SEW, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO HEALING, GOD HAS RESERVED THAT FOR HIMSELF. LISTEN, AS I READ THIS CHRISTIAN RITUAL TO YOU FROM THE BOOK OF,

Jms:5:14: Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Jms:5:15: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Jms:5:16: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, THAT BELIEVE THAT A PERSON SHOULD WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE ON THEIR DEATH BED, BEFORE THEY CALL FOR THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH. BUT, IT IS MY BELIEF THAT YOU SHOULD CALL FOR THE ELDERS AS SOON AS YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE SICK. IF, YOU HAVE A COLD DONT WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE PNEUMONIA, BEFORE YOU CALL FOR THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH. THE BIBLE TELLS US TO BE INSTANT IN PRAYER. THE APOSTLE PAUL WAS INSPIRED OF GOD TO RECORD THESE WORDS.

Rom:12:12: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; (KJV)

BELOVED, THERE IS A WORD I WOULD LIKE TO ACQUAINT YOU WITH, AND THAT WORD IS "SUPPLICATION."THE WORD "SUPPLICATION" MEANS "TO KNEEL DOWN. TO KNEEL BEFORE GOD, IS TO SHOW REVERENCE, LOVE, HONOR, AND RESPECT. WHEN YOU KNEEL BEFORE GOD, AND LIFT UP HOLY HANDS, AND PLACE YOUR PARTITION BEFORE GOD, DO NOT DOUBT. TO DOUBT IS TO SHOW A LACK OF CONFIDENCE, AND TRUST. BE STRONG IN FAITH FOR A DOUBLE MINDED MAN SHALL NOT RECEIVE ANY THING FROM GOD.

Jms:1:6: But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Jms:1:7: For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Jms:1:8: A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

WHEN YOU PRAY SAINTS OF GOD, BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE THE TITLE DEED TO WHAT YOU HAVE PRAYED FOR SATAN SHALL COME AND TEMPT YOU TO DOUBT. IF YOU ARE SICK, THE SYMPTOMS MAY REMAIN. BUT, BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU ARE HEALED, AND RECEIVE THE HEALING. NOW CONCERNING THE THINGS THAT WE ARE TO PRAY FOR. IF YOU ARE A NEW CONVERT YOU MAY NOT KNOW WHAT TO PRAY FOR. THE MOST WONDERFUL GIFT THAT YOU SHALL RECEIVE IN THIS WORLD, IS THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST, THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL COMES TO LIFE, THAT PART OF A MAN COMES TO LIFE THAT SHALL LIVE IN ETERNITY. FOR THE INWARD MAN THE SOUL IS RENEWED DAY BY DAY. THE ABILITY TO TRULY LOVE COMES ; FOR GOD IS LOVE. THE KINGDOM COMES ; FOR WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD? THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST. WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST, YOU BECOME A NEW CREATURE. OLD THINGS ARE PASTED AWAY ALL THINGS BECOME NEW. TO RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST IS THE ERNEST OF OUR INHERITANCE. WHEN A PERSON RECEIVES THE HOLY GHOST, THE ANOINTING COMES TO DWELL WITHIN, THAT WILL TEACH YOU AND BRING YOU IN TO ALL TRUTH. THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION COMES, THAT ADOPTS US INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD. JESUS CHRIST, OUR SAVIOUR, SPOKE THESE WONDERFUL WORDS.

Lk:11:9: And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Lk:11:10: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Lk:11:11: If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Lk:11:12: Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Lk:11:13: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MAN, YEARS AGO, MY WIFE AND I LIVED ACROSS THE STREET FROM A CHRISTIAN WOMAN. THIS WAS BEFORE MY CONVERSION. AND, HER SON HAD BROKEN HIS LEG, AND THE CHRISTIAN WOMAN HAD COME OVER TO VISIT MY WIFE. AND, WAS TELLING HER ABOUT HER SON'S BROKEN LEG NOT MENDING AS IT SHOULD. AND, SHE SAID TO MY WIFE, THAT SHE THOUGHT SHE WOULD FAST, AND PRAY. AND, I WONDERED HOW HER ABSTAINING FROM FOOD, AND DRINK, WOULD HELP HER SON'S LEG TO HEAL. FOR, I WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE PROMISES THAT BELONG TO THOSE THAT FAST. LET ME AT THIS TIME, ACQUAINT THE NEW CONVERTS TO THESE PROMISES.

Is:58:6: Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Is:58:7: Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Is:58:8: Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward.

Is:58:9: Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

DID YOU NOTICE, SAINTS OF GOD, THAT IF YOU FAST THAT YOUR HEALTH WOULD SPRING FORTH SPEEDILY? AND, WHEN YOU PRAY, THAT GOD WOULD SAY, "SAY HERE I AM." WHEN YOU FAST, AND PRAY, GOD SHALL SAY "HERE I AM." THE SAME POWER THAT CREATED THE SUN, AND THE MOON, AND THE STARS, AND PLACED THEM IN SPACE IS TALKING TO YOU. AND NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HIM. IF YOU PRAY ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARS YOU, AND IF HE HEARS YOU, YOU KNOW YOU HAVE THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART.

1Jn:5:14: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

1Jn:5:15: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

IT IS TREMENDOUSLY IMPORTANT, SAINTS OF GOD, THAT YOU FAST IN SECRET TO MEN, BUT OPENLY TO GOD. FOR IF YOU GO ABOUT TELLING MEN THAT YOU ARE FASTING, YOU HAVE YOUR REWARD IN THE TELLING.

Mt:6:16: Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mt:6:17: But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

Mt:6:18: That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

SHOULD WE CONTINUE TO PRAY, ONCE WE HAVE PRAYED, AND OUR PRAY WAS NOT ANSWERED? YES, WE ARE TO CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THE DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD'S DARLING SON GAVE US THIS PARABLE THAT TEACHES US WE ARE TO CONTINUE TO PRAY.

Lk:18:1: And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Lk:18:2: Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

Lk:18:3: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

Lk:18:4: And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Lk:18:5: Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

Lk:18:6: And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

Lk:18:7: And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Lk:18:8: I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
