The word of God may have many meanings, but I would like to deal with this subject by saying that Jesus the Christ, is the word of God: and the holy scriptures are the word of God. First let me explain that Jesus Christ is the word of God. Isaiah 43:l0 ye are my witnesses, saith the lord, and my servant whom I have chosen : that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 1l. I, even i, am the lord: and beside me there is no saviour. Saints of God, Jesus Christ is the only God ever formed, or ever shall be formed. It is he, that is our saviour. We know that God took the dust of the ground, and shaped it, and formed it in such a way that the dust of the ground became the man Adam. We know that God took a rib from Adam's side, and he shaped, and formed, the rib in such a way, that Adam's rib became the woman eve. But, from what substance, did God shape and form his son Jesus the Christ? In the beginning, before the sun, and the moon were formed, God the father spoke, and he took his word, and he shaped the word in such a way, that the word of God became the son of God. St. John l:l in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Brothers, and sisters in Christ, God created the lord Jesus Christ, created him in his express image. Jesus Christ is the first born of every creature. What is a creature? A creature is something that has been created. Listen as I read what the apostle paul recorded about Jesus Christ. Colossians l:l5 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Hebrews l:l God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. 3. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and up holding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high. Think on this, children of God, God the father created the lord Jesus Christ, and it was by the lord Jesus Christ, that God created all things. To give you some idea of the power that Jesus Christ, the son of God has, it was Jesus that created the sun, and the moon and the stars, and placed them in space in one day. It was Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, that created the human race, and placed them in Adam in one day. Ephesians 3:9 and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ. In the gospel according to St. John, john speaks of the lord Jesus Christ, as being in the world, and the world was made by him. St. John l:l0 he was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Beloved of God, all mankind was made in the image of God, but Jesus Christ was made in the express image of God. When you see the lord Jesus Christ, he will look exactly, as God the father. Not only does Jesus appear as God the father, but he has all the qualities that makes God, God. When Jesus Christ found himself in the form of God, he also found that God the father had created him equal to himself. Philippians 2:6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Little children, for any two things to be equal they must be identical, therefore was Christ Jesus created the same size as God, the father, did he have the same power as the father, was he of the same substance as the father? Yes, he was created identical to God the father. The bible says that the word of God is quick, and powerful, and shaper than a two edge sword. Jesus Christ is quick and powerful, and shaper than a two edge sword. The apostle Paul speaking of Jesus records these words, Hebrews 4:l2 for the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. L3. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Saints of God, the things that you see are temporary, but the things you do not see are eternal. And the things that you see were made by Jesus Christ, whom you do not see. Multitudes of people are faithless, therefore if they can see something they cannot believe. But we as children of God, that are of the household of faith, have no trouble at all believing that the worlds were framed by the word of God, Jesus the Christ. Hebrews ll:3 through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Christian brethren, many men have seen Jesus the Christ, but no man has seen God, the father. St. John l:l8 no man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten son, which is in the bosom of the father, he hath declared him. Beloved, as you read through the bible especially the old testament, you will notice that the word of God came to Abram, and said "fear not, Abram, I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." Jesus Christ, the creator of heaven and earth came and spoke to Abram. The holy scriptures record that, the word of the lord came to Jonah, and said "arise, go to nineveh, that great city, and cry against it: for their wickedness is come up before me." Jesus Christ, the anointed one came to jonah and spoke to him. And, in the new testament the word of God, the lord Jesus Christ, came to John, the Baptist. St. Luke 3:2 annas and caiaphas being the high priest, the word of God came unto john the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. No man has seen the face of God the father, and lived: exodus 33:20 ( in these verses of scripture God is speaking to Moses, and he says) and he said, thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me and live. 2l. And the lord said, behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cliff of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by. 23. And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. But, I believe children of God, that Jesus spoke face to face with Moses. Exodus 33:ll and the lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. Saints of the most high God, the word of God, was made flesh, and dwell among us. Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, became flesh, and dwell among us. Jesus Christ, the creator of heaven, and earth, the one that made the dry land, and the seas: was sent by God the father into the world. St. John 3:l7 for God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved. L john l:l that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life: 2. ( for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the father, and was manifested unto us:) 3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the father, and with his son Jesus Christ. Holy children, when Jesus Christ, the prince of peace, came into the world, he did not take on him the nature of an angel: but, he took on himself the seed of Abraham. Jesus Christ, the son of the virgin Mary, was both God, and man. As God he was able to raise the dead, to make blind eyes to see, to calm the sea: but as a man, he was able to suffer, and bled, and die, that we, the children of God, might live. Concerning the fact, that Jesus son of the virgin Mary was God, St. Matthew l:23 behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. And, now concerning the fact that Jesus, Christ the son of the virgin Mary was a man: Hebrews 2:l6 for verily he took not on him the nature of angels: but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17. Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted. Beloved of God, any man that says that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and really believes what he says, is born of God. 1 john 4:l5 whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. Beloved, any man that does not believe, and will not confess that Jesus Christ, the God of God, true light from true light, is come in the flesh, is antichrist. Let me repeat, any man that does not believe, and will not confess that Jesus Christ, when he was born of the virgin Mary, came in the flesh: he is antichrist. L john 4:3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come: and even now already is it in the world. Children of light, the antichrist is both a system, and a man: the system is with us now. These false prophets, and false teachers that say that the saints will not go through the great tribulation are part of that system. The people that print the Sunday school books, that say there is no hell, are a part of that system: those people that preach a man cannot lose his salvation regardless of what he does: is part of the antichrist system. Those people that preach that it is a sin to play on musical instruments in the church are a part of the antichrist system. These people that would have you believe that Jesus is his own father, is part of the antichrist system. Some of these men that are a part of the antichrist system, can sing, beautifully, some are highly educated, some are eloquent speakers, they know just when to raise their voice to make a point, they know just when to pause, to get your attention. But if they do not preach according to the written word of God, the holy scriptures, they are antichrist. Romans l6:l7 now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned: and avoid them. 18. For they that are such serve not our lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive hearts of the simple. Saints of God, let me conclude with what I believe is the greatest verse of scripture in the bible. St. John 3:l6 for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
