So you want to know more about me...
I'm an American currently packing for a four-month jaunt spent working in Australia. Before I resigned to pack, I was a computer lab attendant in a public library, answering reference questions, helping patrons with their computers, and occasionally doing webpage upkeep for the reference staff.
I have most of the credits for a Master's degree in Library Science, though that's currently on hold, and my bachelor's degree is in history (concentration on Medieval Studies) with minors in anthropology and religious studies.
I've always been interested in the Middle Ages, hence the page I keep of medieval resources on the Web. My interest in folk and fairy tales is more recent and was prodded into activity by a Storytelling course I took. I discovered it was difficult to find many good folk or fairy tales online in a short amount of time, so I started to collate sites for future use.
The name Eleusinian is a reference to the Greek city of Eleusis. Located about 22 km west of Athens, Eleusis was the site for the Eleusinian Mysteries, an extensive annual religious celebration dedicated to the goddess Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, and her daughter Persephone. The Mysteries were the most sacred of all the ritual ceremonies of Ancient Greece. For more information on the Eleusinian Mysteries, see The Ecole Initiative's site about them.
