WHAT IF PENGUINS TOOK OVER THE WORLD
(just read it)
"Rrruuunnnn!!!!! They’re cominnnn!!!!" Such terrified cries are now commonly heard, on every corner of our once fine planet....
No one thought forty years ago, this could’ve happened. Those who might’ve would have been thought insane. The problem started gradually, some even found it humorous at first. Groups of 2-4 penguins would mysteriously break out of zoos, and wonder aimlessly through streets, appearing ,zombified, if you will. City officials would just bring them back to their home, with a bewildered laugh. But then the problem got worse.
Within days of the first isolated incident . Groups of penguins started simultaneously breaking out of zoos all over the globe. Governments thought it was some sort conspiracy against zoos, but it wasn’t. For you see, the penguins would just ghostly go through walls or any other such barrier themselves. They had no human influence. However, over a matter of a few weeks or so, all penguins had been accounted for, everything was fine. That is until the third incident occurred.
This one happening three months to the date after the first one. The penguins appeared in groups of hundreds this time. Waddling through towns, villages and city’s in every continent. No human efforts could stop them. Not nets, not guns, nor lethal injection. If anyone tried to touch them, their hands would pass right through the penguins bodies. And if you tried to take a photo, no such images would show up on developed film. But they were there! I tell you they were there!
Until one day, they disappeared. The whole lot of them, just, disappeared. They left just as mysteriously as they had come. Overtime the worlds people slowly got their lives back together, after those severely puzzling series of events. Some would even say the world was better. People were more open-minded, more excepting. And the worlds nations more bonded, after all sharing the same enigmatic occurrences. Everything was fine and good, until thirty-three years later.
Two years ago... Two years ago it all happened again. They appeared in armies of thousands this time. And each unexplainabley carrying a Bud Light under one flap, and a Lollapalooza ticket under the other. Out of nowhere they’d appeared , they’d wonder throughout all habitated areas of our earth. They walked right though peoples homes, hospitals and any other imaginable place. And if one of them would see you they’d head straight for you. If they caught up you they stick to you, following you in their weird waddling way. As I write this there’s one aside me, I’ve named him Tim.
Today’s date 07:09:29, earth population, I’d say around 300,000,000. You see, know one can endure it. The suicides are happening by millions a day. There’s no longer any governments, any country’s or any laws. No more love, no more hate there’s simply no room for either. Those remaining of us, who are struggling to sustain merely live in fear, and paranoia. The world is damned!! I tell you, damned!!
