Nice site, about you side bars...I'm thinking about getting the olypic side bars, but do they stick out enough to provide an entry step. ie..is there enough there to stand on. I want a tight step bar. The smittybuilt ones stick out too far, so I'm looking for something that hugs close, but still has enough to step on. Thanks!

Checked out your website, looks good. If your looking for Jeep chat here is some, if not just hit the delete. I am 26, married, daughter (8 months, live in Southern California. I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4WD Laredo, about 160K miles. I run Rancho Suspension and a 3" Suspension Lift. I just switched from 30x9.50 BFGoodrich Mudders to 31x10.50 BFGoodrich A/T K/O, spending too much time on pavement these days. I have the 4 Lite straight 6, as I am sure you do. I run headers, no cat, and a flow master. Alright now for the techy talk. You knew I was building into my questions. My number one complaint about the cherokee is the cooling system. I am aware that they seem to perf r to run about 210 degrees. I guess I can live that if it would only stay there when I get on it. Here is what I have tried to help it out. I stepped the radiator up from a single to a new triple core radiator, replaced the fan clutch with a more heavy duty one, replaced hoses and the thermostat(I stayed with the 190 thermostat or whatever was factory specs, but I would like to try to go down to the 180 therm and clear the computer and hope it resets and runs ok. Any thoughts on that one? After I trie to tow my baja with the jeep through some mountains it over heated and I pulled over in time to watch the coolant reservoir explode, so guess what, I replaced that to. My opinion is the pressurized coolant system, minus a real radiator cap, just sucks. Agree or disagree? Also poor design with the trans cooler and the A\C Condensor collecting and plugging up with bugs and trash causing loss of air flow to the radiator. Yes I did pull them and clean out all the bugs, blew air through them, but the grill opening is so small restricting air flow. Lately it has been ok and running fairly cool, but as soon as I start having fun I can pretty much guarantee I will be up to 230-235. I hate running hot problems. Any thoughts? Do you have similar problems? I know part of it may be it really gets hot here 100+, but that is no excuse. 2nd Complaint- I have 3 leaky fuel injectors. Commmon problem? I think so. I think I will try the o-rings first but I am pretty confident that it is really the injectors. Well that is about all the time I have for Jeep chat. If you repond I can try and send you a pic of my Jeep. If I sound like I don't love my Jeep it isn't true I am just complaining. Tell your Jeep it is nothing personal. Mike

Wow! I didn't know that jeeps had such a fellowship amongst owners. Cool! I have acquired my parents 90 cherokee 4.0 and plan a 3" lift 30 or 31" BFG AT's and replacement of all bushings and longer shocks. Disconnects of course. I have a 242 Transfer ase that is left hand output and have heard that it is the less desirable of the two offered for that year (231 as the other) but too much involved to switch at the moment. Awesome looking machine you have and a cool background to go with it. Later :)

I own a 90 xj limited and after much 4wheeling in my home town(Moab UT) I am wondering if a lift plates and lockers is worth it or keep it as a highway crusier and build a rollover worthy wrangler. By the way I have that same noise. Maybe wheel bearings, diff bearings, motor/tranny mounts, bent axlehousing? If i don't hear from your results I'll contact you with mine

I have a 1976 CJ-7. When I bought it it had the 258 I-6, that I put a Holly 4 barrel carb on with headers, split 3 and 3. It never did run great, so I chenged that out about 2 years ago to a chevy 350. I love the engine, but the poor AMC 20 in the rear ha seen better days. The spider gears have been replaced twice, and now the axle is in 3 pieces, not 2 like when it was last working. I am now saving to to do a frame up, hoping to change out the axles, putting a dana 60 for the rear and a dana 44 in front. This will all go under the 4 in suspension lift leaf springs. If anyone has any comments or ideas, please E mail me an SPL15@aol.com! Thanks!
