I am currently looking for work in the IT field ideally based in the south of england somewhere but I would happily consider moving further afield if the need arose. Hopefully I intend to someday get involved in a job to do with the web but at the moment any computing experience would be helpful to me in order to build up my overall computing experience. below is a copy of my present C.V.

During the four weeks of work I learnt to work both on my own and at times as part of a small team. Part time bar work for Whitbread plc. This involved general bar work, serving customers and handling cash.

Interests and Activities

Computing

During my time at university I attended several computational courses. This led to a keen interest in computing especially with regard to the W.W.W. I also taught my self to program in HTML and have produced several web pages, and I have been involved with the programming of a multi-user dungeon (MUD) in a UNIX environment using LPC.

Travel

Travelling is a keen interest of mine. This led me to go Inter-railing in the summer of 1996, to the south of Europe, in particular Italy and Greece. This summer, I spent two weeks hitch-hiking around Ireland and three weeks hitch-hiking around north Europe. As well as being enjoyable my travels have been a useful learning exercise, as I had to learn to be willing to change plans depending on the situation with little notice, and also to be much more independent. Another skill I gained from it was the ability to communicate with people even though there was often a severe language barrier.

Young Enterprise Scheme completed during sixth form.

Assistant managing director of a company set up to manufacture and sell clocks. My role was in the acquisition of parts and the organisation of people in the construction of the goods.

Skills

A working good knowledge of both Windows 3.11 and Windows 95. Also Office 95.

A reasonable good understanding of FORTRAN 77, Matlab, HTML and LPC programming languages

Good key boarding skills and I am at the moment teaching myself to touch type

I have also completed courses in communication presentation skills.

Full clean driving license.
