Located in the Heartland of Iowa on the Mighty Mississippi river

"My station was first put on the air 
in 1983 as Amateur Radio Station
KAØQMP 
running a DRAKE TR4cw Transceiver,
fed into a 4 wire dual band, wire Dipole
antenna for the 80 and 40 meter 
short-wave bands"
 
 
 
 
"In 1984 my station KAØQMP took 
1st place in the Iowa division of the 
Novice Roundup operating contest.
In May of 1984 I upgraded my station 
license class from
Novice to Advanced Class as 
KDØQA
at that time I was one of the last people 
to be examined by the FCC in
Chicago, IL before the Volunteer Examiner 
program took over doing license examinations."
"In May of 1985 I once again upgraded my station license class, this time to 
Extra Class as "WBØK" the highest level Amateur Radio license in the U.S.A." 

    My current interests involve operating 

    HF CW (High Frequency Amateur Band Morse Code) 
                               Test Some CW Here 

    Packet Radio ( Digital computer communication's via VHF radio waves )
