I am a teacher at a Christian boys school in Thailand.Most of our students are Buddhist or Muslim, but they are very interested in mahayana. While most of their parents have an aversion to mahayana the younger generation is ripe and ready. Perhaps compassion would be a great elixir for these kids. As a biased observer I see that the Buddhism that is practiced in this country is a great waste o time, is a great excuse for the people of this country to practice bad behavior, and I have never met a monk here who carries the dharma truly.
