To further encourage children and other family participation KCMS sponsors a junior club, the Mineral Mites, open to youths ages 8-18 years. With there adult advisor they participate in all activities of the society. Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month located at the Mt. Vernon Veterans Hall from 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM. Parents are encouraged to attend these meetings. This club is for young kids who have an interest in collecting Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils. Dues are $5.00 for each year you are in the club.
