Real-time robotics control systems programming. VxWorks, Windows CE .NET (English and Japanese). Worked as part of a team developing the next generation of Yaskawa heavy industrial robots. Programmed Embedded Windows NT applications for Ballard Hydrogen Fuel Cell data acquisition systems (for Embedded NT and Linux). Created a client/server and browser-based monitoring tool to enable remote viewing of fuel cell system conditions. C/C++, TCP/IP socket programming (Visual studio, gcc/diab), SQL database (DB2). LabView programming and interfacing.
Tested deployment software for Motorola GPRS wireless networks · Programmed Tcl\Tk, Perl, C++, and UNIX (Solaris) shell scripts and tools to monitor network connections and parse data logs · Wrote several UNIX tools to monitor and analyze test data and events · Created Tcl/Tk, C/C++ programs to test and evaluate GPRS development builds · Experience working with GSM/GPRS wireless celluar systems, both hardware and software.
Programmed Visual Basic tools to monitor and control laser-guided lumber processing equipment. Designed and tested power electronics, attached sensors. Interfaced hardware, electronics with LabView monitoring tools.

Activities and Interests
My degree interests have been in distributed computing and its application to robotics and automation systems. Recently, while working in Japan, I represented the University of Victoria at the UN-sponsored 2002 World Student Summit in Kyoto. I enjoy travel, languages and adventure.
