Comments: Nice site and archive. I too am only 24 years old and view these type of sites as a great resource for fledgling collectors, established collectors, and/or the curious. Other great sites for early archived sound include "redhotjazz.com" (early jazz), a d "tinfoil.com" and "nipperhead.com" (early wax cylinder recordings). Keep up the good work!

I'm younger (24 years-old) than the usual listeners to this music and this is a way to hear new material and to enlarge my collection. When I try, I get a message saying.The appl Real Player could not be opened because PNMM.lib cold not be found. Comments: It's great fun to find this site and the links. My father was one of the earliest and greatest collectors of 78 rpm discs, hot jazz his primary interest. Collected door-to-door during the depression during his college days. He was great friends with Russe l in New Orleans, Bob Kirstein in L.A., etc. We have kept the collection intact and still enjoy playing it for him in his declining years. Collection includes every Louis side, most Bechet, most Chicagoans, some of everybody who was anything in hot jazz ( s defined by Panassie). I don't have correct version of Real Player, but will listen when I get it to work. Keep up the great work!

Comments: Your Helen Kane record is just as scratchy as mine. I have a great fondness Kane and some of the other 1920s vocalists. Ruth Etting is also a favorite of mine. I have been collecting 78s since the 1960s. I lived in Denver during the 1970s and picked up qu te a few vintage jazz records while roaming the antique stores on South Broadway. I have one original Bessie Smith--a good condition 78 of "Gin House Blues." I also have a very rare Claude Thornhill Orchestra version of "Anthropology" featuring Dizzy Gill spie and Charlie Parker. Another prize possession is a Victor Album of Blues Singers (Leadbelly, Champion Jack Dupree, etc.) once owned by Robert Oppenheimer, the director of the Manhattan Project. I love your Jukebox. Comments: Wonderful site. Lots of good stuff to listen to on here. What a collection you must have!! I have been collecting since I was a kid and found lots of (Ithought old!) 78's in junk stores. Much of my collection comes from those sources. I am looking for a record that has been in my mind since 1955--thats when I recorded it off the air on my old disc recorder! It is called " Let's Get Together and Swing!" I don't know the artist, and the recording I made was not of the entire song--I still have it, and ould to get a copy or recording of a copy. The band on the recording sounds a bit like Tommy Dorsey. Any ideas?? GREAT SITE

Comments: I am trying to obtain any information re: The Burton Boys, believed to have done very limited recording at the Starr Piano Co in Richmond Indiana. I have a copy of a contract they signed in 1931 stating they would record the following songs: Down in Ten essee, The Old Corn Mill, While the Band is Playing Dixie, and Jack and May.
