"Early morning rain held us up so we headed for Little Lake just below Lafitte and had a field day with redfish mostly in the 20 inch range on gold spoons."

TRIP REPORTS

October 11

What a week this has been. With the exception of Monday the wind has blown hard all week. Luckily on Tuesday Mr. Ray James and I made a scouting trip an found a spot that the East wind had no Effect on, and held Speckled Trout. We arrived there late in the morning Tuesday and missed most of the morning bite. The rest of the week however, the early bird caught the fish. I can't express enough the importance of scouting trips.

The main purpose is not to catch fish, but to find out where they are under certain conditions. Well next week the conditions will change again. Hopefully, for the better. The front coming through will bring the water out of the marsh and some Redfish with it. Later on in the week I will be at the Boat show at the Pontchatrain Center. Look me up at the Sportsman's Cove Booth, I'll be glad to show you around. My new 21' SeaPro and 200 HP Mercury Outboard will make you drool.
