She knows how to promote self-esteem and resourcefulness. She expects all, to meet their highest standards.
Yet can tune into each student's particular attributes,
She never looses focus of helping her students
to expand their knowledge.
If a student is having trouble in a particular area,
Mrs. Brown will find a way to bridge the gap and help them understand the concept.
She keeps an orderly class where all felt wanted and respected. Just for who they were,
and not always for what we knew.
I believe a
Great teacher teaches basic life values and social skills that will be useful in life and can give their point of view on all kinds of
issues and questions that may arise,
ones that will be helpful thru out life.
Mrs. Brown inspires all students to have the
self-confidence to seek the questions and
know the answer.
She has the students challenge the obvious and is a continual learner herself, she to attempts to stay one step ahead of the students
that she is directing.

There are good teachers in our lives,
and then there are Great Teachers.
My Great Teacher.
was a Vocational Instructor by the name of
Mrs. Marinell C Brown.
My senior year in high school.
On the first day we learned we could count on her.
We just was not aware of how much.
She could look you right in the eye, and tell you when you had done wrong.
And brush your hair out of your eyes the next.
You knew, that you would not ever want to disappoint her again.
Her patience was very important,
She could make you feel like what you had to say was truly significant and in that  encouraged you to do more...
Her patience caused me to believe in my abilities.
She pushed all to succeed and excel, and required excellence in all. She taught the great matters of character building and the importance thereof.
In a positive light, she would believe in ALL!
She would teach useful information, and create an enthusiasm in the students to learn it.
She knows her subject matter, has patience listening to what the students have to say.
Not only knows that everyone can learn...
wants to be part of that process.
Reminding all that for every action there is a reaction and they need to plan and anticipate both.
What makes a great teacher is the one that takes the time to reach out to "that one special child" and will encourage them to step out beyond what they think they can do.
One that doesn't use the same way to teach each child,
We all learn at different levels. One who can teach without that student realizing they are being taught. Making learning fun! She gives respect to each student as a unique person and expects the same in return.
She teaches because she truly cares about children and the development of all people to there fullest.
She challenges you to believe that we all have something good to offer this world.
So don't just stand there!

TEACHER
AWARD
The difference between a good teacher
and a "great" teacher is that the
GREAT TEACHER
expects all students to reach for the stars.
Each student is given an opportunity to shine, regardless of the label given to there needs.
Much love, caring and patience comes from a
"GREAT TEACHER"
