ALPENGEIST

This eerie creature is now stalking the hamlets of Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, just as it did in the French and German Alps of long ago.

INVERSION ELEMENTS: The "Immelman," a diving loop named for a WWI fighter piolet, a Cobra Roll, a Zero-G Roll, a Flat Spin, and a High Speed Spiral.
TRACK LENGTH: 3,828 feet
LIFT HEIGHT: 195 feet
VERTICAL DROP: 170 feet
VERTICAL LOOP HEIGHT: 106 feet
TIME: 3 min, 10 sec
SPEED: 67 mph
CARS: 3 trains of 8 4-passenger across cars
OPENED: April 11, 1997
WHERE: Busch Gardens, Williamsburg
MY COMMENTS: This ride is fun, but I think it is a little too fast to be very enjoyable. I think the best part of this ride is the scenery, but in my opinion it's still better than Batman. The waits are not bad, and even if they are, the scenery is great.
