We've got pictures! Thanks to Roger Klausler at Thatcher for digging through the SSP archives to retrieve some old photos. Since color film hadn't been invented then (just kidding, Ron), our photo album is in glorious black and white.

Here is a picture of the whole group (faculty as well) taken outside of a Hughes Aircraft facility on one of our field trips. This was taken from our yearbook (with thanks to Hughes Aircraft Company, one of the original SSP sponsors, who contributed in many ways more than they planned when they signed up for the program), so the quality isn't great. I'll experiment with the scanner to see if I can squeeze out a little more quality later.

Here is the signature page from our yearbook. Can you match the names to the photo above?

Ken Hannsgen (left) and Richard Abel (right) flank the Astrographic camera we used for shooting our plates of the asteroid we used for our calculations. (In case you can't tell, this was a staged photo!)

Dr. A. Victor Stern, an expert in computers and computational theory from Hughes Aircraft Co., dealt with the warm summer environment in Ojai while serving as a guest lecturer on logic and boolean algebra. He continued his discussions on computational theory in an informal session after dinner that lasted past midnight.
