I was definatley puzzled at
this point! I was not too sure that this was not a Hoax set up by the Germans!

this point! I was not too sure that this was not a Hoax set up by the Germans!
We had come out in busses to
the middle of "no mans land"! At this particular point, I could
look both ways and see gun barrels pointing at us!
As a matter of fact, my thoughts went back to my usual - "What is
mother Hinkle's little boy doing here"?
The exchange of prisoners, Germans for us. The Germans got two of their
officers for me for I was "young" and a pilot.
(By the way, I am the tall one in the middle without a hat.)
