Why?

Because I realized that I don't know much or sometimes anything about most countries of the world (there are a few hundreds I think). I want to tell you something about my country Germany. Maybe you don't know much about it and can get some useful information from my page. Besides the information written here, I provide you with some interesting links to German sites. I will follow up adding general information to this page and I would be pleased if you could send me your opinion about my page, questions you always wanted to ask about Germany (please try some of the big search engines before e.g. Yahoo or Altavista), special information you have about Germany and so on.
