A hypercube is a 4d object.
It is our 3d cube extended in the direction of the fourth dimension.
The above colored drawing is a 2 dimensional depiction of a hypercube.
 

 
 
These are 3d looking 2d drawings of hypercubes.
Notice the one on the left.
It is like 2 normal cubes(one smaller, one larger) which are connected at the corners. Note that each cube are in different 3d dimensions and they would be connected through the 4th dimension.
The one on the right, is a 2 different cubes(of the same size).
They are in different 3d dimensions.
Note that the diagonal lines connecting them go through the fourth dimension
 

 
 
These are 3d slices of the whole 4d hypercube
 
Note that a 4d object is composed of several 3d objects "stacked" on one another in the direction of the 4th dimension. Beginning at the first section, and going to the last, that is what you would get if you were to cut a hypercube into consecutive 3d slices.
