HMCS FRASER Museum Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

HMCS FRASER is the last remaining member of Canada's first domestically designed and produced class of warships. This class was known as the ST. LAURENT class, or the "Cadillacs" as they became known due to their relatively luxurious accomodations. Entering service in the mid-1950's, they were some of the most modern anti-submarine ships afloat, possessing state-of-the-art sonars, radars, and anti-submarine weaponry. They were well-built, and though obsolete in their later years, served Canada well during their careers, some of which spanned into the early 1990's. She is now a museum in Bridgewater, NS, which is operated by the Nova Scotia Artificial Reef Society.
