MODIFYING THE MIDLAND ALAN XX PLUS CB TRANSCEIVER SERIES

Here the instructions how to modify your CB- Radio.
The goal of the modification is to get more chanels (400 AFM instead of 80/12 40/12 40/40 or 40 CEPT )
The new frequency range of the radio is from 25.165MHz to 30.145MHz ( A- to L-Band ), which includes the 10 Meters shortwave HAMRADIO band.

HERE THE ALAN 48 WHITH UPPER PART OF THE CASE REMOVED

( SAME PROCEDURE FOR ALAN 78 AND 77 )

In the german 80/12 version there are two solderbridges ( as shown ) remove them and you will have 400 channels!
that's all folks ;-)
