LIGHT POLLUTION SUCKS

LIGHT POLLUTION SUCKS

(For Astronomy Anyways)

I don't know how it is in other places,
but here in Michigan, every time you turn
around or look around the corner, there is
some kind of building going up. Whether it be
a housing complex of some sort, or one of them
new strip malls that seems to be popping up in
every inch of space available. With these new
buildings, comes the lights. Parking lot lights,
mercury lights etc. They all pollute our dark
skies with light. I think were in a losing battle
against light pollution. But fortunately for us
amature and professional Astronomers alike,
there is an organization out there to help
fight against light pollution.
"The International Dark Sky
Association".
