This is a converted L1011(pronounced "L, 10, 11"). What is so special about it you ask well, ya see the thing on the bottom of the fuselage, it's called Pegasus it's a aircraft/rocket it's made to put rockets into to orbit cheaper than normal. NASA and all them use it it is powered by RAM jet. Also it is used here were I live At Vandenberg AFB.
