Building serious kites cheaply with parts from your local
hardware store.
I'm a mechanical engineer and I've studied aeronautics (so there). There's a thrill in assembling a kite from parts that were never meant to fly. I intend to allow as many people as I can to self inflict this thrill easily and as often as local authority will permit. The first step in this pursuit takes one to the kitchen where one will find garbage bags and straws. The next step will take one to one's local harware store where one will find some heavy metal (pulleys), grand woods (dowels) and bang up wrapper (tyvek). That's where I'm at, spiritually speaking. This site will serve to document my knowhow and promote my personal celebrity in the world wide kite community. World domination is next on my list.
We're counting ( ) on you.
