You can see here that I framed up my fuselage before adding the plywood skin.
And this is what it looks like after adding the skin. I used lots of staples to hold the skin while the T88 dried. Stapling over safety wire makes it easier to remove them.
Here is my first attempt at the aft turtle-deck. I was planning to build a bubble canopy like the T-18 so I built a low rider type deck.
Here are a few shots of the various bracing that you must install inside the fuselage for strength. You can also see I have begun work on the instrument panel which can be seen in more detail on the Panel Page.
Here is the skin for the forward turtle deck. I use scrap wood and poster board to build a jig right on the forward part of the fuselage. I covered the poster board with duct tape to act as a release and then applied 1 layer of 16 oz tri ply cloth. This is the same cloth I used for my wing skins and aft deck.
