Getting Here Kansas City International (KCI) Airport is the closest airport to Lawrence. KCI is about a 45 minute drive from Lawrence. While there are some shuttles between KCI and Lawrence, public transportation in Lawrence is not terribly reliable, so you might consider renting a car for the weekend. All of the room blocks we had set up are now closed. You may still try to get a reservation at one of the four hotels below, but you will not be able to get the special rates we negotiated. With both Lawrence high schools hosting graduation that weekend, rooms may be difficult to come by. Sorry about that. Feel free to examine other alternatives for lodging. For those looking for a specific hotel, if not in Lawrence, it may be in Olathe, KS or Overland Park, KS -- both approximately 30 minutes away. SpringHill Suites by Marriott This hotel is near downtown, the church, and the potential reception location. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites This hotel is near our house, Wal-Mart, Target, IHOP, and the large commercial area on the south side of town. Lawrence Holiday Inn – Holidome This hotel is near I-70 and on the north side of town. Easy to find, and easy to get to from out of town. Best Western Lawrence This hotel is in a central location, near lots of restaurants, and close to rehearsal dinner location (for those attending). |
