Have you seen the SLING WING? It is a rubber band launced flying wing. It goes up about 100 feet and opens for a 30 second to 1 minute flight back to earth. It is so light if it gets in a thermal you might not see it for a while. They are a lot of fun and inexpensive too. See my site or if you are in Japan check out the stores soon. My direct line is (909) 640-3890 for more information. Chow for Now!

You turn out some beautiful models. That WWII float plane was really great. What is it? It isn't a Rufe, that is, a Zero on floats. I tried to copy the Mig 15 but got only the fuselage. I think the idea of a ducted fan rubber job is great. I don't thi k there is enough detail of the fan for me to build it. Is there any way to get a more complete plan? Keep up the good work! Thank for helping my reinterest in this great hobby. Long time no do, and it's feeling good.

I'm a Technology Education teacher in Walnut Cove, NC USA. I am just getting in to rubber powered free flight as an activity in my Transportation class. Our biggest problem so far has been finding plans that meet our size and weight needs. If you can poin us in a direction it would be good. Our size requierments are: 1.) Models are to be made of paper and balsa. No films or foams. 2.)Props are to be commercially available plastic props, 140mm to 170mm in dia. Trimming and thinning is allowed. 3.)Fuselage dim.: 300mm min. w/prop. no max dim. 4.)Wingspan dim.: 300mm min. to 620mm max. 5.)Rubber motor: 1 loop of 300mm while hanging in an unwound relaxed state. 6.)Model weight: 8 grams min., 22 grams max. weighed with motor and trimming clay. 7.)Steel wire can be used for prop shaft, engine hook, and undercarriage for wheels. 8.)Participants wind their model, place them on the floor, and wait for the signal to release from the timer. Timing begins when the model rises off the floor and continues until the model hits the floor or comes to rest on an obstruction. I have been loo ing at several indoor free flight contest rules and am not sure which aligns with the rules we have agreed to use for our students.

I want to the designer/builder of the model credit for his work. I will not print these plans with out permission. I am planing to print the plan in our August newsletter. The load time is quite long for most pages. I suggest cropping the pictures right up to the aircraft. Also....if done correctly, jpg images would be a much better choice to get a smaller file size than gif. Of course, you can't drop the background in jpg mages...but who cares? Feel free to visit my Website at www.crafthome.com to see examples of closely cropped images......
