A little destructive weld-testing on the fuselage!

This guy sure looks like he's ready to fly!
From mid-March to Mid-April not very much work got done for a variety of
reasons. Once I got going again, it was time to start making the
multitude of brackets that eventually get welded onto the fuselage structure.
Back to the not so exciting part of construction! Brackets,
brackets, and more brackets!
Through February and early March 1998 things looked like
this while the fuselage is welded up.
The fuselage sees the first light of day, while the construction table
is being disassembled to make space for final welding
