On Saturday, May 20th, at 8:30am, I logged 1.0 hours in FlightSafety's 777 level "c" sim at the Sea-Tac learning center.
Once we arrived, Richard Turner, the center manager of FlightSafety's Sea-Tac center, greeted us with a smile. We then continued to one of the 777 briefing rooms passing two J31 and one 737 simulator. As we walked upstairs, Dick explained to us that 99% of thr center's training is done "dry," meaning that airlines will rent out the simulators and supply instructors for their crew.
After about thirty minutes of procedures training, we stepped inside the sim; the sight picture is JUST a tad different from my C-150J! We took off to see how well the 777's computer handled an engine out -- it already applied rudder trim before I EVEN KNEW we lost an engine!
We concluded our flight by completing my 22nd ILS approach -- UNREAL
