IN MY HANGAR
This I call my Airbus. When I bought my second radio the guy threw
this in with the deal.
It had a broken off tail which I fixed, added the nose and gave
it a little colour. I have no
idea what plane this is but sure is a nice flyer. With its symetrical
wing if flys fast and does
good areobatic, then slows down for easy landings. Specs:
wingspan 78", length 62", wing
area 1079" sq. in., OS91 FS with 13x8 Zinger when on skis and 14x6
Master Airscrew
when on wheels, weight 8.5 lbs, JR Radio equipment.
This is a Hobbico Flightstar ARF with Gee Bee Floats. I removed
the wing dowls
and modified it to a bolt down. I fly this on my holidays on Manitoulin
Island and
in the winter I also put skis on it. It's a gentle and easy flyer
and can also fly inverted
no problem. Specs: wingspan 64 1/2", length 46 3/4", wing area
741 3/4 sq. in.
Supertigre 51 with 11x6 APC prop.
JR Radio equipment.
This is the first kit I built. Good instruction with many photos and straight forward.
This is a nice fast plane that is easy to fly and which also lands fairly slow
and easy. Specs: Wingspan 47" Lenght 56" Wing Area 524 sq. in. Weight 5 3/4 lbs.
Engine - Supertigre 51 with 11x6 APC prop.
Covered in Ultracoat.
JR Radio equipment.
This is a Midwest Mustang 60. I picked this up second hand with little air time on it.
This is another nice flying plane, steady and stable with
no stalling charactoristics at low speed.
Specs: Wingspan 65" Length 51" Wing Area 727 sq. in. Engine - OS91 FS with 13x8 APC prop. Spring Air retracts.
Covered in 21st Century Fabric. JR Radio equipment.
My Ultrasport 60. This is the second kit I built, and like the Patriot it
is another well illustrated straight forward kit. One of the best planes to learn aerobatics on and
getting into retracts.Specs: Wingspan 61 1/2" Length 55 1/2" Wing Area 566 sq. in. Weight 8 1/4 lbs.
Engine - Supre Tiger S61K with 11x8 APC prop. Dave Brown retracts. Covered in Ultracoat.
JR Radio equipment. Battery failure summer of 97, it's history know.
