Halflife

Carbon 14 has a halflife of 5760 years.

Assume that in the year 0 A.D., extraterrestials leave a pile of 10 kilograms of carbon 14 in a cave. If they come back in the year 5760 A.D., they find 5 kilograms of carbon 14 (and 5 kilograms of nuclear decay products).

Homework problem. How many kilograms of carbon 14 will remain in the year 17,280 A.D.?
