Controversies about evolutionary theory are debated by many people, not just biologists. Non-biological scientists, public and private school teachers, ministers and other religious officials, and lay people may all have something to say about whether evolution is a valid theory. The most visible controversy about evolutionary theory concerns Creationists, whose acceptance of the Bible as literal truth makes evolution impossible for them to reconcile.
