Safety PostersYou will design 4 posters outlining important safety rules to be used in the science classroom. These will be displayed for the duration of the semester.
Internet Research
You will find Internet sites pertaining to areas relating to physical science. Some classroom time will be provided. Extra credit is available for providing additional sites
Element Brochure
You will generate a computer-designed brochure detailing assigned element. Bonus points given for completion of a 3-D model of an atom of the element.
Chemical Scavenger Hunt
You will find examples of chemicals that meet certain criteria.
Physics of Sports
(group project)You will research an athletic activity and show how laws of physics pertain to this activity. This consists of visual, oral, and written presentations using PowerPoint.
Choice Project
You will complete mini-research on a topic of your choosing in the following fields: Heat, Simple Machines, Light, Optics, or Energy.
Scrapbook of Physical Science
You will compile a scrapbook of photographs, drawings, etc. that illustrate all of the major topics we address this semester.
