Summertime in Red River provides scenic chairlift rides , jeep tours of abandoned gold mines, hiking, biking, horsebackriding, camping, and hunting. Not to mention fishing. The river is stocked with more trout than any other public river in the country. Red River is in the heart of the Carson National Forest and Wheeler Peak Wilderness. Everyone should climb at least one mountain in their lifetime!
