What is Java?
|
|
Java is a
general-purpose concurrent class-based object-oriented programming language,
specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible.
Java allows application developers to write a program once and then be
able to run it everywhere on the Internet. Java is related to C and C++
but is organized rather differently, with a number of aspects of C and
C++ omitted and a few ideas from other languages included. It's best for
creating applets and applications for the Internet, intranets and any other
complex, distributed network.
