Middle TN BBS List
The Middle TN BBS List is a list of publicly
accessible BBS's in the Middle Tennessee area. All of the BBS's on
this list offer free access. You can play online games, download
files and even converse with people across the globe in Fidonet message
areas. If you're unfamiliar with Fidonet message areas, they are
similar to Usenet, but since they are moderated, you don't have to put
up with all of the get-rich-quick messages or other SPAM. This list
is published every Sunday by World of Wonder BBS (615) 251-9583.
You can always download the latest list there, or you can choose one of
the two links below, one for ZIP format... and one for the ZIPically challenged

Fidonet Net 116
Fidonet is an amateur
electronic mail network. Many Fidonet affiliated BBS's offer world-wide
message areas (echoes) covering many interests... from Astronomy to Zymurgy.
These message areas differ greatly from Usenet since they are moderated
to help keep out off-topic messages. (No more wading through 100 SPAM messages
to get to the *one* real message in the group!) These message areas also
offer a more pleasant atmosphere than what you might be accustomed to in
Usenet or on the Internet. Even though the areas are, in some cases, distributed
world-wide, you feel a sense of friendship and family found lacking in
other methods of communication. If you have a BBS, or are thinking of starting
one, consider joining Fidonet... the friendly neighborhood network.
