We thought that she was ours to keep - Our hope, our pride, our joy. Her little feet had scarcely felt The roughness of life's road, When by her side we sadly knelt - Our tears how fast they flowed. So oft in play she paused intent As though some voice to hear, Then, hand and face upraised, content - 'Twas Angels lingering near. That tiny finger pointing up To God from whom she came - Such memories sweeten sorrow's cup, When ere we speak her name. KATHY'S UP THERE __________________ From coma deep, she 'fell asleep', With angels by her side. It seemed life's fairest dream was crushed That hour - that day so still. More plainly now, our spirits hushed, We see our Father's Will. He loaned us Heaven's flower fair, In love He came to reap. That blossom sweet we shared awhile - 'Twas His to ever keep. Our darling's safe, for she's with HIM, Today faith bids us to tell. Even though our eyes with tears may dim, 'OUR GOD DOES ALL THINGS WELL' DELBERT K. MARSH (1974) Return To Our HomePage |
